Mission Taiz Zoological Gardens

An ongoing civil war in Yemen has left a zoo of 282 animals at its mercy. Bankruptcy and a vicious battle has left these animals in a life boat situation with no end in sight. Before February 2016, these precious animals were literally dying from starvation in their crude substandard cages.
Since 2016 has A Lion's Heart heard the call and has dedicated itself to the preservation and protection of these precious animals. A Lion’s Heart believes that we have a moral obligation to these animals are the only true innocents in this horrible situation and we must not fail them. We cannot do this alone.
A Lion’s Heart is an an American 501c3 charity and only non profit approved to provide for the Animals at Taiz Zoo. The Zoo and ALH have worked together since 2016.

Updates and Progress on Taiz Zoo: 2021 we are still providing emergency rations, vitamins, medication etc.
2021 We are launching micro projects of needed supplies for the health of the animals.

2021 Micro project. We have a special project we are seeking funding for.. new water basins. The old ones are cracking and collect algae and bacteria. We need to help fund new basins so the animals have clean, fresh water. We are funding for zoo animals not just lion and leopards. Donations are welcomed. We give 100% of all funds to 100% to the animals at the Taiz Zoo Yemen, the war's often forgotten victims.
May 2021: Many of the basins are finished! We have bright colorful better quality drinking water basins for the animals.
